I hope everyone has a good, safe Thanksgiving break.
Short week, short notes.
Religion: We’ll finish up our current chapter on different kinds of prayers. We’ll plan on taking the assessment on Tuesday of next week.
Reading: No spelling words this week. We’ll be reading from a few Pilgrim stories.
Math: We’ll continue to work on counting money and figuring out change. We’ll also start working with finding length and area.
Phonics: We’ll work more on sight words along with final stable syllable –ble.
Science: We’ll finish up our weather chapter and plan on taking a test early next week.
Homework over the break: It’s not very much, but I want them to do it. They’ll be bringing their journals home and I want them to write 2 passages with 5 sentences in each. They can write about whatever they want, but it needs to be in a journal style and the appropriate length.
If they want new library books, they can check new books out tomorrow morning when we go as a class.
Enjoy the break!
